THE RACE IS ON!

The decision has been accepted! Aeros Winter race 2012 will start on march 13th, with registration in competition office ("pizza place Anja" by the main landing place near Ajdovscina - see it on the Google maps) starting at 17:00 ending at 20:00 hours. Fingers crossed for the weather will stay as predicted.

Decision about dates

The information about using (or not) the reserve date for Aeros Winter race will be announced here and on the FB pages on Friday march 9, 2012 till noon.

We are getting close!!

Today we sent out confirmation email for first 50 pilots on registration list and 10 more for pilots who where invited by Aeros! Aeros also decide that demo days will take place during the comp - you can read more info about that on web page.

One hundred pilots

It is really bitter/sweet feeling when we look at the list of registerd pilots. Today the last pilot signed on the waiting list - and yes - he has got number 100. Only 50, or max 60, pilots will be allowed to compete becouse of safety reasons. Our main safety concern is overcrowding on launch, specialy on east launch, and overcrowding in the limited airspace while waiting the start marker to open. We are still waiting Aeros people to provide us a list of pilots invited by them - those pilots will get into the competition regardless of the registration order.

Waypoints

We prepared waypoints files for 2012 Aeros Winter Race - you can download them on our web page. There are some new waypoints on the list, and we added Tolmin area waypoints as well. Who knows, perhaps the weather will be great and we might use them... Right now we have 79 registered pilots on the list - it is to bad that take off area is to small for everybody.

Registration filled up quickly

On November 29th we opened the registration - and we have full house already! The registration is still open, of course, but pilots are now signing to the waiting list. We will ask top 50 pilots on the registration list if they are comming to the comp for sure - this will happen 14 days before the competition starts - and places of those who will decide not to come will be given to the pilots on the waiting list. We still have about three month to go...
